My mother worked at the State Department in Africa and my father a British telecom engineer, I was born in Africa and hold 4 original certificates of live birth and 2 passports.
This LEGAL issue with Obama was that his mother was apparently underage (17) at the time of his birth and thus he could ONLY gain eligibility to be a US citizen by birth. I personally would not be surprised as a baby if Obama was not far away in Kenya and if he holds a rather wide and not too tall cert from Kenya.
His wife referred to Obama’s “home town” in Kenya and Kenya has provided a certificate of live birth, so what is the big deal?
