My friend just close a transaction with Battiata Group today. She has the worst experience. Matt Battiata today is not the same as two years ago. When she listed her first house, he was very attentive and walk through every steps. So she listed her recent home with him with confidence. It was a nightmare. From the begin of a listing to the end of the transaction she saw him once.
When she call his office, he is never available or she get voicemail. Then eventually some unknown agent return her phone calls. They never bothered to come out to present her offer from buyer with all the details and disclosures. They just faxed papers and told her to sign. Then the same with escrow papers, she signed with all the additional fees that she was unware. They chose their in-house escrow service (Unified Escrow Services) and Title Co which charge premium price in local market. Mind you, this a million dollars transaction. He got his big commission check and yet he pecked her with all other kinds of extra fees.
