Looks like Mot Mobility/Google had fun today.
My group was hit – but I survived. (So far.)
Mobile devices group here in San Diego was decimated if rumors are to be believed. (I work for the cable side.)
My Schwab financial adviser called me to make sure I was ok – she’d been getting calls from clients who work here and want to know about rolling their 401ks.
The press (various articles) says 4000 jobs worldwide from Mot mobility. 1300 or so from the US. 700 from Illinois according to the Chicago Tribune. If rumors are to be believed it’s about 200 from San Diego.
