Just from a salary perspective, my lawyer makes 4 times what I do and my income is pretty good (in the top 5% according to Forbes). He doesn’t work nearly as much or as hard as I do either. He is not a patent/trademark lawyer, his specialty is litigation. 9 out of 10 lawsuits don’t see their day in court (they reach settlements) so you might say he doesn’t work at all. 🙂
Law is the smart way to go if you’re lazy and want to get rich. It can also be very depressing and you will see the worst of society on a daily basis.
