jficquette,
“GW will be consider a great president in about 50 years. The war in Iraq is working. Soon Iran will be taken care of and for once in 1500 years Arabs will have a choice on how they want to be governed and how they want to live.
Once the Middle East become democratic the world will enter a new age of peace and prosperity.
This Iraq war is worth many times its cost to the current generation to enable the future generations to live without a constant threat of war in the middle east.”
Let’s assume that this dream of yours actually comes true. You’re saying that it’s worth thousands of American lives for Arabs to live the way they want and without threat of war? Or you’re saying that it’s worth it for Americans to live without threat of war in the middle east? And, if it’s the latter, then what benefit, other than oil-related benefits, have those 4,000 Americans given their lives for? Remember, before you answer, that Iraq didn’t have WMDs when we attacked them and that Iran has only been made stronger.
