It’s a good time to shrink government. If everyone in the private sector is hurting, voters won’t feel much sympathy for the government workers.
We need to shrink government to establish the base of a future robust economy based on innovation and entrepreneurship. We can’t afford to subsidize our way out of every little hole.
Now is the time to enact wide ranging reforms rather than pass feel-good legislation.
