If she only makes $2,000/mo. she would have a hard time finding anything to rent and most landlords wouldn’t rent to her. Obviously the bank was seriously stupid to give her any type of loan but she was at least as stupid to think she could afford those payment, even the teaser payments, no matter who told her she could.
Everyone learns a hard lesson at least once in their life and it seems like this one is her time.
