I have to agree Temecula should definitely be in the running. Especially areas west of the I-15, the number of estate homes on acres are plenty and the OP can have his pick. the schools would be excellent as well.
I do think Poway should still be on the list, perhaps less available that would allow for poultry farming, but there should still be some. proximity for SD and the coast plus the schools would be a better plus.
Do not think Valley Center is a good idea. it isn’t freeway close. you’ll be shopping in Escondido, and schools are not that good.
