Government need not be such a big part of economy. Government is sucking money that could go to private innovation and entrepreneurship. Basic econ 101.
Or it could go to buying a rich guy a condo in Paris.

At least local Government employees spend the major of their earnings in county.
Edit: Btw, I spent a year at a startup in San Diego. Pissed 25 million of venture capital down the drain and never made a dime. Not my idea of a good capital investment.
