Dan: Actually, the British Parliament is made up of the House of Lords and the House of Commons, with the majority of the power residing in the House of Lords. They (the British) don’t have a House of Representatives, although the House of Commons would be close.
Hannan (the speaker) is not a British MP (Member of Parliament), rather, he’s an MEP (British Member of the European Parliament). You should read his blog, he’s quite an interesting guy, with a strong Conservative (using the term as the British would) background.
