I think if you pay for taxes, they would charge you a surcharge. At least the assessor’s office. I thought, however, that merchants weren’t allowed to do this….Maybe we should file a grievance with amex/visa/mc about SD accessor’s office. Then again, probably won’t help after today’s DOJ lawsuit against the big three.
