In the real world people of fairly decent character do make mistakes or get offtrack. It’s easy to say this could never happen to me from the sidelines. How do we know that a life of being single after a trial and failure doesn’t represent a lack of character(or balls)? Not that this scenario you pose ever happened to me, but I think forgiveness could be part of the reconciliation. There is no lack of character in that.
