very nice weapon – I liked the full-size version so much I got the small-frame version as well – the small one is fairly concealable on my 6 ft frame and if you need more than 6 rounds of .45 you’re in a world of hurt[/quote]
4Plex: Yup. My old man was a former Marine DI and was of the same opinion (regarding only needing 7 rounds of .45 in a pinch).
I grew up with the 1911 and was convinced that it was the only TRUE .45 semi. I was further convinced after owning a Sig P220 (hated that bottom of the mag release button). Then I went and shot a buddy’s Glock 21. Damn thing ate everything it was fed and was accurate out of the box (try saying that with a Colt Government Model). I bought one shortly thereafter and its been my primary shooter since then.
Although, I will also say nice things about the Springfield Armory P9 (their version of the CZ-75). I bought the compensated model and, while I’m not a 9mm fan, this is a great pistol. Plus, you can carry it cocked and locked (unlike many 9mm pistols).
