You need to be careful where you post links to this movie. You might find your life in danger.

July 2, 2007 at 12:42 PM #63353redtideParticipantIf you accept the content in this movie with “blind faith”, I suggest you do yourself a favor and read this:
http://www.thedevineevidence.com/jesus_similarities.html
It’s backed up with sources, unlike the propaganda flick. Half of what this movie claims is straight up false, the rest are word games sometimes combined with very unscholarly speculation.
BTW I’m focusing on the first third of the movie, I only had the patience to get through this much in order to shed light on the faith topic.
I apologize for the off topic response, but the record needs to be set straight. I hope we can return to housing related topics.
I wonder if Rich can modify the site to remove the off topic posts from appearing on the homepage active forum topic window?

July 2, 2007 at 1:33 PM #63373NotCrankyParticipantAwesome movie,
Lets say it isn’t true, for the sake of argument. It certainly isn’t as if Power has not shown a willingness to do do such depraved things over and over throughout history, religious mind control, crusades, inquisition, slavery, genocides, countless wars and proxy wars.
The amount of corruption excercised by power has only been limited by the ability of its reach. That reach is certainly global now. I think we have to go global to have peace. But like so many others I have no doubt that along the way we will have fascist domination.“I wonder if Rich can modify the site to remove the off topic posts from appearing on the homepage active forum topic window?”
Sure let’s ask Rich to help us suppress debate so we can enter another dark age. So what if the film is creative? I would call that fighting fire with fire at worst.

July 2, 2007 at 1:53 PM #63377redtideParticipantLet me rephrase this:
I wonder if Rich can rename the homepage window titled “active forum topics” to “active housing market topics”, directing only the housing related topics to the homepage for the “Southern California Housing Bubble News and Analysis” website.
All “off topic” posters will have to make a second click under user forums (dark age suppression) to fill the site with content that has nothing to do with the hosung market.

July 2, 2007 at 2:36 PM #63438NotCrankyParticipantredtide, What stance would you have taken if the message was was to your liking? Why didn’t you avoid or complain about the off topic post before you were disappointed by the message? That is what I see over and over on this blog. People jumping in to scream “stop it” after making their point of view, usually that they believe in Jesus , very clear.
Back on topic. Awesome Movie.IMO

July 2, 2007 at 2:48 PM #63393drunkleParticipantdidn’t watch the movie, only got through the introduction of the linked website:
“If you search the web for similarities between Jesus and pagan deities, you will be met with countless results presenting the same erroneous
material which provide no original religious sources to validate their claims. However, if you search unbiased resources such as educational books
regarding religion, the texts of the religion in question, or even encyclopedias you will be presented with straightforward information free of
personal conjecture. For the reader’s convenience, I supply online source links throughout this discussion to allow the reader to verify my offline
research.”the bolded part of the intro is a fallacy and makes anything else the site says suspect. if you’re familiar with the term “revisionism”, you’ll know what i mean. specifically, history is written by the victor.

July 2, 2007 at 9:46 PM #63484LookoutBelowParticipantBefore we head back to the "Dark Ages" and then run off on another new "crusade" (Christian Jihad) …watch the film, it doesnt debunk religion (so much anyway) as it points out all the similarities of the many faiths of this planet…..That was only part 1.
If you could have gotten over yourself long enough to see part 2 and part 3 you would have seen the very good connection of "Off Topic" investing information. But no…..You got terrified and you held up your crucifix like it was warding off dracula in a 1940's silent film….you thought you were under attack !…. me thinks he protests too loudly….Is your faith really that weak ? Your faith has NOTHING to do with this information. A little selfish on your part to think it did.
I would consider anyone who doesnt listen to both sides of any argument, foolish, closed minded and generally anal retentive….Information is knowledge, there is no bad knowledge. If you think there is, you need to re think your ideals.
If the shoe fits, wear it, you know which poster you are. This was NOT supposed to be religious reference material, it was for financial knowledge on the inner working of the fed. Take it or leave it, but please lets not turn off the ENTIRE internet because you dont like something
