I love old cars. They are very close to my heart.
I’m a regular at Concours d’Elegance. Canceled this year, btw.
But I decided long ago I’d rather others deal with their upkeep and restoration. I’ll just be an admirer who pays admission to the shows.
For me, it’s the fun of getting it done, as long as it comes out right. I think time spend with my labor hours, it would be cheaper if I paid someone else. But at the same time, I would never spend real money at old cars that have no financial value. It’s not like any of my cars would appreciate lol.
Painting is the only thing I can never get right. I keep practicing but I always mess it up. I think I need to figure out how to put together a paint booth. It’s hard to where I live. And it sucks all we can get is the low VOC paint in CA because some of the better quality paints don’t come in low VOC flavor. I feel like I am already retired, doing all these things during covid lockdown only better. by the time I’m 65 , my hands and arms will probably too fragile to work on things anymore. That will suck. Hopefully someone puts a bullet in me when that happens.
Hey more skills to put on my resume… Oh, wrong set of skills…. damn… I should be reading about software and AI….more useful stuff. Meh, I’ll let the Chinese figure it out. They’ll be better at it then me.
I’m suppose to be helping put an app together for a few demos tomorrow for a few customers. Supposedly to assist contact tracing and social distancing so businesses can reopen quicker….I’ll get it done over the next hour or two…And I’ll let my engineers finish the rest tomorrow. lol
