BTW, Trump may want to INCREASE subsidies. He’s stated that he wants to allow individuals to deduct premiums from their income taxes, which sounds like a tax CREDIT for the full amount of the insurance, not a deduction. (There’s already a self-employed insurance deduction from income.)

AFAIK, that’s basically what the subsidy is, except that it doesn’t cover the full cost. Semantics 101.
