Yeah, recently I believe they let spouses of H1bs work as well so that effectively doubled the number of tech workers available overnight because most of the spouses of H1b workers are in tech as well. The interesting thing is that I believe the spouses of H1bs have regular work authorization and can move around unlike the H1bs themselves and they don’t have to prove the “american worker was not displaced” test…which makes no sense whatsoever, but hey I don’t make these laws 😉
