I do care about the general direction of education in as much as it doesn’t impact me and my kid negatively.
And I do generally care about about people who want to be helped and have the patience/energy to learn something that they don’t know about.
But as far as my own kid, I don’t think little FLU will be getting anything short of a financial education. Afterall, little FLU already knows what taxes are… 🙂
The “not my problem” is the part where if public schools don’t want to teach personal finance, and if parents insist on keeping that sort of material out of the classroom, and if same parents don’t bother/can’t teach their kids about debt ,well what else can you do?
