An unchecked democratic party would certainly go down a more socialistic path then we are currently on. Redistribution in the name of fairness would be the primary policy and people would likely support them until they got to your assets.

One of the first things they’d probably do is implement a socialistic policy of single payer health care. Are you going to argue that a single payer health system isn’t a socialistic type policy?
