Interestingly, residential property taxes in the city are actually cheaper than CA. Seem to be about 1% of value per year for condos and co-ops, MUCH less for 1-3 fam houses. Higher for commercial property.

It’s actually based on market rent, not on sale value, but that’s what it comes out to.
