davelj, im with you on that. whining about children is poor form. it’s like the very wealthy whining about small expenses. so many are dying to have children and cannot, and I can imagine how painful it must be for them to have to endure parents talking about children as a “problem”.

on the other hand, i did plenty of whining a few years ago about availability and cost of day care.

reality is, this is a pretty screwed up society to try to reproduce in. the financial disincentives are strong. There’s no help. you are on your own…
