Well, as a quasi outsider Jew-type I can affirm I was raised with a large suspicion of Christians. My parents just weren’t sure about them. There’s a bit of history where some christians treated some Jews like crap, perhaps in apparently officially sanctioned violation of certain tenets. Being just post holocaust, my family was not too trusting of anyone. Not the kinder gentler Christian rhetoric you hear nowadays. More like all the effin Jews are going to he’ll and good thing, too! Kind of ironic how in my lifetime Christians and Jews have gone from a surly relationship to being kind of buddies. It was different even when I was a kid. Jews and Christians kind of bristled; my parents didn’t like my catholic girlfriend at all. Personally I don’t trust anyone with a doctrine. I doubt they mean me any good.
