The GOP seems to be blind to the fact that whites are no longer a majority in the US. Therefore, their immigration rhetoric really ends up hurting them, not helping. True it rallies the base, but the base keeps shrinking.

It makes me wonder if the GOP thinks their ship is slowly sinking and they have no other option.
