one of the things that scares me most about purchasing a home is future inability to bicycle to work. Right now, it’s fine. and if we lost this rental im sure i could get another one within an easy bike commute. but if you buy, and need to work further away, you’re screwed. My wife is not entirely sympathetic to this concern but it’s truly at the top of my list. I won’t buy anything not currently within bike distance, but who knows the future exactly?
