If it happened in San Diego, the surfers would riot. I agree denverite. It is a national emergency and a national tragedy. Leaving it to BP to handle does not appear to be working and I believe it calls for Federal action/ intervention. It will not matter if they are to blame or what agency rubber stamped their permits, what ultimately matters is the long term damage to the wetlands and the economy of the affected States.
