I don’t know, whenever I see someone in a grocery store behind me having a single item checking out and if I have my hands fuel with more than 5 items, I usually just ask the person if he/she wants to go in front of me. My rationale is that most of time, people don’t go to the grocery and just buy a single item. They probably were in the middle of something an forgot/needed to get something and probably in a hurry. Maybe I’m just too nice sometimes. I’m more irritated by folks that yap on the cell phone while checking out.
