“if i didn’t have the resources to have a kid, I wouldn’t have one”.
huh.
very fiscally prudent of you.
not reality for america though. everyone buys kids on credit! almost all young people start out basically broke, struggling, just piecing it together. the woman or dude can stay home, and that relieves alot, but not all of the headaches.
wife staying home simply wasn’t an option in that time frame. Not money -wise, just professionally, she just wasn’t going to do it.
man i don’t even need day care right now and just thinking about my experience is getting me stressed out.
i always tell younger couples, people, start getting on wait lists way before you think about getting pregnant. IN fact, expect complete chaos unless you ahve strong family support, lost of cash or can swing a sta-at-home spouse. I always tell them without that, IT IS NOT GOING TO BE OK and children under these kind of circumstances may trigger extreme marital strife or even possibly divorce.
