As for taxes, I didn’t like the income tax increase as I feel it is already too high. But, I guess someone has to pay for you and others in the welfare class.

Again, you’re misunderstanding the point. These “tax on rich” isn’t targeting the real rich. Every tax on rich has always hurt the “working class” aren’t rich (slightly better off,but not rich). These folks have a job like most everyone else and are just as vunerable just like everyone else.
Republicans screw the lower to middle class. Democrats screw the mid-to upper middle class.
True rich people might feel a slight disconfort here and there, but htey have plenty of loopholesand typically have more resources to shelter incomes. This won’t change. Why do you think several CEO’s and hedge fund folks have a $0 salary…Do some due diligence and you’d be surprised how much comps are being paid as equity, NOT ordinary income subject to these tax rates.
A household of two enginerds who are employees hardly has the financial independence that these CEOs do, and yet Obama’s policy is going to impact a lot more of these workerbees than touch those a8hole bankers you describe.Politicians are smart they can’t really go after those powerful lobbying groups/campaign contributors and CEOs. Obama wants to really target all those CEO’s and aholes, fine. But Obama isn’t doing that. He’s going after the same worker bees..Obama’s crew is going to use the banks as a whipping boy to appease to the mass, but you think he’s really going to screw around with top CEO’s. He’s not that dumb.
And guess what? A good portion of those higher income worker bees have gone or will go on unemployment very soon anyway. Read the thread about the lawyers who made $300k who are getting axed. Which means, that really, the Fed is nowhere going to make up for the huge deficit is going to continue to spend because that upper middle class is being elminated or drastically scaled down during this recession.

And, I’m perfectly fine with the CA tax hike. In fact I think it should be more. I just think everyone should have to pay. I’m not against raising taxes. Everyone should pay to get out of this mess.
