But to try to fault Obama for use of religion in politics is a stretch. All of the politicians have been using it for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately it still wins elections. I look forward to the day that I don’t have to say “one nation under god”, when the president doesn’t end every speech with “god bless”, when our money no longer has “in god we trust on it, and when the influence of religion no longer taints politics. I do not think I will live to see that day. Maybe someday my great great grandchildren will. God I hope so.

You could ask old Russians who remember Stalin or old Germans who remember Hitler or sons or daughters of those that remember them.
Maybe they could tell you what is like to be lead by someone who feels that the church is the enemy of the state.
