I can’t believe how little he charges for installs.
Doesn’t even have a showroom. He sends you to a wholesaler to pick out the carpet. That way, you get good prices on carpet and the install.
If you have particular carpet you want, you may be able to buy just the carpet at the retail store and have him install it. Ask him how to get it wholsesale, though he may not know.
He’s used to dealing with people who know what they want. Don’t expect to be a typical flaky retail customer and waver back and forth or expect hand-holding. Though, he does have smart suggestions sometimes.
Have him measure and give you an estimate.
Go pick your carpet.
Pick out your pad.
Say “go” and it’s that simple.
