November 19, 2013 at 6:37 PM #768171joecParticipantHah, the presidency of Obama is pretty much over at this point. With the whole health care debacle and now this, he’s pretty much already a lame duck president after 1 year.
And this, coming from someone who supports his change (or at least some change) to the whole healthcare thing.
Not surprising our “guvament” is lying to us about unemployment…maybe it’s so they don’t have to pay those extended claims anymore?
Heck, you’re shocked if the government tells the truth about anything at this point…
…sad
November 19, 2013 at 7:23 PM #768172SD RealtorParticipantNope not surprised, never was. They all have lied. The only surprising thing is how much of our society believed/believes he was any different.
Additionally there was a good point made awhile back that what is more troublesome is not the lies from the top, but the abuses performed by individuals within the system. More often then not, these are done at the benefit of the administration without the administration even knowing it.
November 20, 2013 at 7:14 AM #768182EconProfParticipantIf we held an election today for president between Obama and Romney, I wonder who would win?

Three years ago, a guy was caught fabricating interview reports in order to make the quota and the guy is blaming his supervisor, but has no proof of receiving instructions from the supervisor. The goal was to make the quota, not tilt the numbers. Anonymous source says the guy was not the only one fabricating interview reports.
Clearly, Obama falsified the jobs report.
November 20, 2013 at 8:30 AM #768195SD RealtorParticipantMaybe he did, maybe he didn’t. It may indeed be traceable to somewhere in the administration. Same thing with the IRS scandal that wasn’t a scandal.
It doesn’t matter at this point.
The balance of the numbers imply that there is such a vast number of people receiving entitlements, that the party or person who continues to provide the most for them will pretty much win each election regardless of any other factors.
November 20, 2013 at 8:45 AM #768196NotCrankyParticipantWho you gonna vote for, the party of “no requirements for responsibility from anyone ” or the despots?

It depends on the balance of power in 2014.
I’ll vote for the president that is opposite of who controls Congress so that there isn’t any more extreme government on either side of the spectrum…
16 years of extreme government is enough for me…
Maybe it’s time for an independent.

I’m surprised it isn’t news on CNN… Oh wait, no I’m not…

You realize that what you’re wanting is exactly what you’ve had the last 16 years? Has that worked out well for you?

Actually, things are working pretty well for me during this 2nd term, as it was toward the end of Bush’s last term 🙂

If I had a few hundred million dollars to spare, I would publish a newspaper with a conservative slant.
Not a traditional conservative viewpoint, but the modern American version of conservative: “Liberals just want free stuff, Obama is the antichrist”, etc.
We would publish articles with the same level of credibility and integrity as the one in the OP.
I doubt we would stay in business for long – it’s a crowded space, there’s lots of ruthless competition.
But it would be kinda fun, watching all the suckers dance to my tune.
November 20, 2013 at 10:25 AM #768208spdrunParticipantShouldn’t Piggs be happy that the jobs reports are falsified to seem better than expected? QE3 isn’t exactly popular here, and a “good” report gives the taper-hawks more ammo. I say falsify away, since we can’t have it both ways.
November 20, 2013 at 10:38 AM #768212dumbrenterParticipantDon’t you think that if I were the employee, I would realize what a gold mine I am sitting on if asked by “higher ups” to fabricate data?
That is why this story makes no sense to me. Any body with half a brain would realize the consequence of that verbal instruction and play accordingly. And, I find it hard to imagine who that voter could be who went to polls based on the job report!
