Our lease is going to come up for renewal in the next few months and we are definitely not ready to buy – I have been tracking Craigslist looking at rental properties ( in the event that we decide to rent a different property than the one we are currently in ) and am not finding houses that we want to rent (i.e. 4BR, 2500 sq ft+, Pets Allowed, Encinitas / San Digieto School district) in the price range we would like to spend ( i.e. <= 3k ) - Does anyone out there know of any better places to look for good rental houses that meet our criteria ? Should we be looking on the MLS ? Is there an easy way to tell if the Craigslist postings that seem too good to be true ( i.e. Great 4BR house in Encinitas at the end of a Cul de sac for 1,700 a month ) are bogus ?

I was just wondering if there was a better place to search online other than craigslist – if there is not then that’s cool, but based on what i have found in CL so far I sure hope there is a better place to look ;->
