The recent economic downturn is hitting the restaurant industry nationwide, with restaurant chains around the country, including McDonald’s and Chili’s, experiencing a recent decrease in sales. And though restaurants in downtown San Diego may often look packed, the city’s restaurants are also feeling the effect.
