A house two doors down from me in Carmel Valley was on the market for a week and is now in escrow. There definately seems to be a spring bounce. Still, I believe these people are just knive catchers. This is only the first leg down, we have more to come.

Of course, I’m no expert like many of the rest of you, but as a buyer (aka knife catcher apparently ’round here) I definitely noticed the spring bounce. We were finding many potential houses throughout the winter and then the spring hit and it was like hitting a wall. The only well priced house moved very quickly.
Good news though, we finally heard back from the Short Sale on Jerrilynn. The bank approved the deal without asking for a “final highest offer” that we originally expected since there were 3 total offers on the house. We’re still waiting for the contract in writing and until then I’m not getting overly excited.
It will be interesting to watch the market into the Fall, I know several friends who are holding out for the Fall to look.

Thanks
