Seems to me that the first dozen dates are supposed to be about getting to know each other, which can be done sitting on a park bench, taking a walk or having coffee. If you are defining the success of the dates by how often or how deeply he digs into his wallet, you are most definitely a gold digger.

Hide silly greeting cards in your purse to surprise you? Care for you when you are sick? Seems that those types of behaviors are more of a display of love and romance than buying you an expensive dinner.

Most of the things that REALLY matter and show you care in a relationship are free or inexpensive.
