    Curious, I’m wondering if others out there have any thoughts on the material on John Williams’ Shadow Government Statistics website?

    Overall conclusions are generally consistent with my anecdotal observations. Government reporting has always seemed out of sync. I’m curious if others also see significant bias in the statistics?

    Also, on the business-side, our costs (of goods sold, sales, travel, etc.) rose considerably faster than inflation this past year, and I’m considering the impact of adjusting or abandoning official CPI in our business contracts, which are annualized and inflation-adjusted (supposedly). Market is what market will bear, obviously. But I’m curious if anyone else out there is going through same calculations and reaching same conclusions?

    Expect offical statistics to further disconnect from reality the worse things get. It’s kind of like the feds took notes from the NAR. We all know how horrible they are.

    There seems to be a growing chorus of independant analyists coming to the same conclusion you are.

    I don’t think that is a reason as much as a sympton along with many others. The reason would be to make people think things are not as bad as they are. The why would be population control.
