The same old striving of empires, over what has been one of the most the most important pieces of real estate on the planet for thousands of years is what is at root of all this strife. The U.S. is and has been simply taking the baton from G.B and her/our allies in western europe in the struggle.

I think progress cannot be stopped. Soon or late every country worth its square mileage will be able to develop some kind of powerful weaponry. We can’t invade them all.
