Hardcore for sure.Forget Thanksgiving, were going for the big one.
It must be a fake tree, cause that thing would be firewood by the time santa showed up. Personally I always liked the fresh/real trees. Just something about fake Christmas trees that seems too insightful and ironic.
My tree ususally goes up the weekend after thanksgiving. This year I guess it would be the 7th or so. Maybe Ill push it back to the 14th. After about 2 weeks the tree starts to get old.

Fake indeed. unfortunately, light beige carpet don’t mix too well with real trees. Plus, I figure it’s one less tree that needs to be cut down, despite my general dislike of over-zealous tree huggers. The real tree outside is lit though when I’m done with it.

The tree goes up closer to Christmas because we like a fresh tree and don’t want it to be a bunch of brown needles by Christmas.

Lol…It’s the political-correctness way of saying christmas tree…courtesy of all the indoctrination about being politically correct.
Because technically not everyone celebrates “Christmas”, but everyone has “winter holiday”..Hence holiday tree…
Interestingly though, Santa Claus was a pagan tradition and was only adopted due to it’s coincidence date with this sort of religious meaning.
(not that I’m really into being political correct to begin with). I just found the name thrown around so funny, I started using it.
