A raw dollar figure is meaningless.
A percentage of AGI isn’t.
One person’s $1500 is 50% of their AGI, while another $5000 is 10% of theirs.

Depending on your circumstances, you can potentially write off a lot of your GI, so that your AGI would be quite low. Now, if you say a % of total income (including dividends), then that would give you a clearer picture.

I marked what I actually I marked what I actually pay…. but I’m making extra principal payments so that I can be in the first category (just taxes/insurance) in 2 years.
