There is some amount lag in There is some amount lag in commodity prices affecting food prices. Expect them to come back down over the next year.
Many industries have already locked in their prices on the futures markets and now *have* to price that in, regardless of price reductions.

My grocery bills average My grocery bills average about $50/week. But my gasoline bill averages about $75/week. The gas has come down way more than the grocery has gone up. Actually, some of the grocery has come down lately. Milk, crackers and apples. Also, I switched to Tacate beer and that alone is saving me a bundle. Now If I could just go veggy!!

I know this sounds horrible, I know this sounds horrible, but I really noticed it in the beer section. I use to be able to get a 12 pack of some pretty decent beer for about $10. Maybe $9, maybe $11. But $10 was a very good price point. Now, 18 months later, I jump at $12, its usually $13-14. Big WHoop right. Two Bucks, I shouldnt even notice it, well actually that is 20%. Breaks out to just about 1% per month. And that is something that is totally a luxery.
Thinking about it makes me want a beer, wait, damn…..
