Mulder and Scully

Since dogs and cats suck and are expensive, the concept of native pets came to mind. This should be of interest to financially savvy Piggs. It is a very low cost, low maintenance alternative to traditional pets. My pets are two Western Gulls. I installed a bird feeder in my balcony but got tired of cleaning the seed shells. This is when I decided to feed a pair of gulls that were nesting on the roof of the neighboring building. The gulls, named Mulder and Scully after the X-Files, had a chick named Mewka (pronounced Mev-ka, means little gull in Polish). I have documented Mewka’s life since birth to adolescence in the following slide show. The pictures have captions that explain what is going on:
