ParticipantMaybe you have to be indoors to play badminton “correctly,” but it’s plenty of fun outside. My wife is really good at badminton, so it’s a fun challenge to play her. Sometimes friends will join us. Doubles is fun. Sometimes we’ll have a few drinks and play. That’s fun, too.
I’m with you, scaredy. Fun stuff. (BTW, scaredy, you’re a marvelous original and I really enjoy your posts.)
ParticipantI’ve bought two new homes and I did the yards myself, with some help from day laborers. No major problems. I concur that you have to be there to supervise.
I went to Home Depot with a scale drawing of the areas I wanted grass on, and they came up with a plan for where to put sprinklers (for free). That was nice. I went with their plan and it worked well.
Was it worth it? It was for me. Depends on your priorities, though, I guess.

Apparently new liens can appear on a title within a few days before the auction. I’ve heard that some buyers will do a title check when they start to research a property and then another one as soon (late) as possible before the auction.
