ParticipantI spoke to the guy who made that Mapleton video today on the phone and told him of a quote I heard a while back, āthe market can stay irrational longer than you can stay rationalā. I believe most on here will buy before the bottom and there is nothing wrong with that at all. The only problem I have is what will the area look like after this shake out? I cannot buy in any of those tracks because I have to many guns and will not allow scum to live near me (maybe I am the scum lol), but this is why I am looking in wine country or De Luz for some land. I donāt want to grow fancy things or whatnot I just want to be the heck away from most others. Is that weird or what? Being serious congratz on that purchase. Great schools for your kids.
PS take photos for us would ya?

ParticipantDaCounselor it is simple. If someone says 2001 price than whatever the house would sell for that year is what someone thinks. Not average or any other junk. THAT HOUSE. If it was a pile of crap, what would that pile of crap sell in 2001. Like that.

Participant“Quotation:
In the great Southern California bust of the early 1990s, real estate legend holds, many defaulting homeowners mailed their keys back to the lenders, in effect washing their hands of the whole matter, and promptly left town. Thus was born the term ājingle mail.āhttp://www.doubletongued.org/index.php/citations/jingle_mail_1/

ParticipantThat all sank in thx. I used to hear about all the hoops people jumped through in 2006 to get the lender to shorten up. I’m guessing they are more up against the wall now or they will get more “jingle mail”.
Anyone remember that term from the 90’s?

ParticipantI’ll stroll down there at 299k then run up to DeLuz with flier to tell off the land speculators to lower their price š
thx newguy for the live update. There are lowered enough for a sucker. I’m sure they will find some soon.
I remember in 2005 we went to the KB homes off Benton east of Winchester. Those houses were not impresive at all. Man there was some many people there during that time. My buddy lives across the street from there. They wanted 422k for a 1900 sqft stripped down house. I even asked if the house came with paint. They are that bad.
