ParticipantI talked to Countrywide today about refi my loans at the lower rates as of today (neither homes would be considered for refi because I do not owe nothing on em and rates are already low). The CW LO said he hasnt heared of anything like this (they always are the last to know sh!t anyways). He did say that they look at rental income and deduct 25% off it as income for the vacancy rate. That is all I know thus far.

ParticipantI talked to Countrywide today about refi my loans at the lower rates as of today (neither homes would be considered for refi because I do not owe nothing on em and rates are already low). The CW LO said he hasnt heared of anything like this (they always are the last to know sh!t anyways). He did say that they look at rental income and deduct 25% off it as income for the vacancy rate. That is all I know thus far.

Housing is for long term so I suggest saving, renting, and picking up one for investing if you like RE that much. Other than that I wouldnt rush into anything especially after a divorce where you could make a move that you may regret later. Good luck.
