utcsoxParticipant

Bearish, why is Trump’s obamacare plan any better than Cruz’ or Rubio’s?
Trump plan so far is simply to get rid of state boundaries.
I don’t yet know that Trump’s plan is any better. But “getting rid of state boundaries” will be HUGE!
Looking back… Can we all agree now that there was never ever a “plan”! Some people just designed a non-existent plan in their minds.
Disagree. The smartest conservative in Washington, Paul Ryan was able to come up with multiple plans that will increase the spending and decrease coverage in a spam of a week. It is just not able to find enough votes for it. So, please this misinformation that the Republicans has no plan. They do have plenty of plans that will increase spending and decrease the coverage but not enough votes to pass for it.

BLS uses Census data to calculate their data.
Rich uses BLS data to prove his point.LoL
To be fair, BLS, Rich and most Piggs know how to calculate the nominal change of inflation-adjusted incomes go from 63k to 64k over a period where cumulative inflation is 8.7% using BLS data. And yes in case you wonder, we do know the difference between median and mean.
March 14, 2017 at 2:41 PM in reply to: Why it’s not a good time to buy a house in San Diego! #806018utcsoxParticipant

To put some perspective on it, go look at the BLS per capita income data, which is not inflation adjusted.
From 2010 to 2015, nominal per capita income increased by over 21%. (Per capita is different from median household, but in terms of growth rates they are extremely similar).
To argue that nominal incomes from 2010-2015 increased less than 2% (no_such_reality) or that they decreased (AN) is way off base.
Why can’t you have both flat median household income and increasing per capita income?
Guys, thank you, I’m aware of the difference between the mean and the median, as hard as that seems to be for everyone to believe. (Really: you think I managed to have this website the whole time without knowing what means and medians are?)
The issue is that it defies all other data points, and common sense, to claim that from 2010-2015, San Diego median hh income was flat (or negative!) in nominal terms.
But that’s what’s being claimed here. And you are digging in and stubbornly defending this claim, based entirely on ambiguous wording on a single website, when a little further poking around would show that it’s wrong.
So as I said, I’m not going to spend any more time trying to change your mind. You can figure it out on your own, or just believe what you want.
Touche! It looks like your site has a lot fans of alternate data, sad!
utcsoxParticipant
So here is something interesting. I was at UCSD Thornton Hospital and two things I noticed.
1. They removed all the parking gates and parking attendants and replaced them with self service kiosk.
2. Checking into the hospital, you no longer wait a long time for a clerk to check you in. You self check in at one of the 4 computer kiosks. If you have problems, 1 person is there overseeing all the kiosks.
Yup, automation replaced a lot of hospital clerical work too.
Those jobs aren’t coming back.
Amazon is opened brick-and-mortar stores without check out lines…

utcsoxParticipant

I like the protests. We need passion on the left so young people vote.
Trump getting elected is what happens when they don’t vote. Young people need to get with the program and vote.
Have you seen the Craigslist ads offering $ for protesters? They could be fake – not sure. But it is pretty clear they are busing people in. You don’t see many of the protesters being interviewed – which is interesting. Or maybe I just haven’t seen them.
It will be great if you can find out what type of compensation package they offer. In addtion, please ask if there is any benefit that associate with this employment opportunity. This might be an alternative and better gig than driving your own car with Uber on the side. Thanks in advance.
utcsoxParticipant

no more abortions will probably satisfy his voters. screw the wall, and the deportations. just stop all the aborting.
As an attorney that’s disingenuous. Overturning R v W would leave it to the individual states to decide – not prohibit it. Plus I didn’t see that as being a very important issue compared to jobs.
couldnt they make it a federal crime?
i think abortions a pretty big one for trumplets.
It never was a federal crime – but anything’s possible. More like capital punishment, it was a controversial issue left to the states to decide. Trump sees it as a state law issue if you believe the 60 minutes interview.
In two years, the Republicans party will have the ability to make constitutional amendment(s) unopposed. They are currently one state legislature short to do that. I will not rule out the constitutional ban in abortion at this point.
utcsoxParticipant

Check out this article of six tax planning strategies to prepare for a Trump Presidency.
By far the most interesting strategy is to “tender you resignation today” if you are an employee and earn more than $52,000 (if single) or more than $105,000 (if married filing jointly).
Tender your resignation today and become a consultant to your former employer, if that is permitted while maintaining the tax advantage. Or start your own business. Not as attention grabbing as your statement, but more accurate.
Fair. I shall editorialize like you did

utcsoxParticipantWith Republicans control both the Presidency and the Congress, major tax reform is highly likely. Check out this tool that Tax Foundation made on how would the Trump proposed tax plans would effect you bottom line.

Elections do have consequences. Trump’s allies are seeking payback against Republicans who didn’t support his campaign. Good luck, you #neverTrump Republicans.

utcsoxParticipant
It’s funny you guys think those poor people are life long republicans. Here’s the 2008 results: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2008. And here’s 2012: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2012. Majority of poor people voted for Obama. The common thread is, Hope and Change. So, whoever want to win 2020, they just need to have a hope and change slogan.
If you aren’t white, stay safe out there.
Also to remind people the rules about carrying a knife in CA. State law prohibits carrying a concealed knife.
However a knife carried in a sheath worn outside is considered open carry, and there is no limit on the blade length.
That is assuming you don’t have a license to carry a concealed weapon.
As a reminder…

Nah, take a deep breath and don’t let the media get you all worked up. You shall trust the system and the decency of everyday American people.
