ParticipantI would have something to offer but I think SD put it well.
Banks generally will do the math.
If they think they can net more as an REO, then they will. Sometimes they can. Often there are variables at play that you cannot decipher. For example, if their mortgage insurance only kicks in if there is a trustee sale, they might be willing to go a lot lower on the market value of an reo.Bottomline, you really need to define your variables and play your game. If you spend your time trying to bluff them and end up losing something dear (money or a favorite home) you will end up with regret. Focus on what is most important here and act accordingly.

Participant
Coop, I agree with you. Our friend urbanrealtor must have a huge client base with his crack pipe jokes.
It really is sad to see so much corporate and political corruption. I wish I was in a government position to start taking these corrupt politicians out of office one by one. I am sure I wouldn’t last very long in office. We need to clean things up a great deal and this is not a Democrat or Republican issue, it is just issue of GREED and POWER.
Unfortunately these positions lead to money, greed and power which changes so many people and very few are able to stay focused and do what is right for the citizens of this country. Now that all theses problems have come to the forefront, I think things will have to be changed or we will be in big trouble very soon!!

I did not realize how offensive my jokes would be.Though I am not really concerned about it.
You basically started this thread with a long rant about the New World Order and how the US was headed for collapse.
While I am not really in tremendous disagreement regarding certain things, I did not find this to be a thoughtful conversation. I just cant take seriously a long silly monologue that ties droughts, corruption, urban decay, and illegal aliens into some sort of insane tapestry.
My crackpipe comments were referencing the response you made to former sd’s comment. I was implying that I was some sort of welfare stereotype.
Regarding the post: I don’t know you well enough to comment on you personally, but the thread IS a nutjob post.
It just sounds angry and deranged. It does not sound critical or thoughtful.
That you responded to him (and then me) with the invectives about job status, professional productivity, whining and hurting America (while simultaneously distancing yourself from your zany thread start) does not go a long way toward arguing for the coherence of your point.
So, humor me. How does disagreeing with your confused points make you so angry?
@coop:
I don’t know what you found so insulting about my post. I don’t believe that I insulted anyone but myself. I further do not see that I my comments were particularly abusive or worthy of censorship.
Can you explain what you meant by that?urbanrealtor

Participant
Nutjob posts??? Let’s see, you must be the below average American collecting unemployment and expecting our government to fix all the problems that lazy people like you create. As the post reads, I just thought it was interesting. I never said I believed everything in the article.
Go get a job and help our economy instead of whining. Smart people who understand basic economics actually see a lot of these issues causing a huge problem in our national economic situation. Complacency is one of the main reasons this democracy is failing. We have trained too many people to expect rather than to work.
Oh he must be.He dared disagree with you.
Well I’m off to the dole line with my wife, baby, crackpipe, and eastern european slave girl.
let me know how the thread turns out.

There are people who can rant with skill.
In many ways Obama’s speaking style is an effective rant much of the time. This is not a skill that you display.
Please try engaging thoughtfully in the future.
Alternatively, you could be entertaining in some way.I agree with several of your points but they are so crappily laid out that it is tough to defend or support.
