thanks russell. I tried that just for the reasons you said about demo, but they will not. Won’t even close without a backsplash behind the sinks. Including demo, $4600 is probably at least what it’ll cost me? I just hate to know I’m getting ripped off.

unevenParticipantIt;s about 150 sqft of tile. Ceramic @ $5.25/ft. Standard installation with grout. I thought they wouldn’t charge so much for labor since they were already going to install the standard. I guess I did think they would, just pissed off that they did. So I wonder if it’s be cheaper to do it later.

unevenParticipantI’d like to add that these are not standard solar panels either. They are integrated into the roof and meant to match the look and blend in with the rest of the roof. I think they look great, but in the interest of full disclosure… I work for the company that designed them. = )
