You may as well give up the idea of maintaining anything in new condition now that you have kids, the more kids you have the more trashed everything will get. Double that for boys.
What exactly is furniture insurance? If you mean a furniture warranty, you can forget about collecting on that. I know your furniture salesperson probably told you it would cover everything even inflicted by your children. One of my kids broke a TILE in a coffee table, they wouldn’t even pony up the 2 bucks to get me a new TILE, no way they’re go to give you a new couch.
