ParticipantI’m not shocked at his wife for wanting to renegotiate the prenup. What does kinda make me go huh is $2 million if she stays married for 2 more years, $55 million for what 7 or 9 years.
I think the renegotiation of the prenup is going to be a lot more complicated:
she: you were unfaithful.. I want the prenup changed or I’ll leave.
he: You try to change the prenup, I’ll follow through with assault and battery. In fact, if you want to leave, you’ll need to make some sacrifices off of the existing prenup to avoid assault and battery. She gave up some of her negotiating ground when she lost her cool and went after him & SUV with that club. Infidelity will not land you in jail in the US, but assault and battery can.
As for whether she married him for money.. what happens next will tell you. If she leaves, she didn’t marry him for money. If she stays, she probably did. Either way, the ‘alliance is broken once he started drilling in foreign lands’..

ParticipantMaybe that’s why the female Piggs find your posts so offensive, dave. You’re generalizing based on the people **you** seem to associate with. That has nothing to do with how real, quality women behave. Most women are not gold-diggers.
I’m going to have to have my head examined after this because I am actually going to defend davelj here..
First off, I don’t want the Piggington women to take what I am saying badly. Right off the bat, I have to say that women, who don’t get into shopping and yield to all that merchandising crap, are actually a ‘pretty rare breed’ (don’t feel bad about it, it puts you in more rarefied company). This can be demonstrated that the merchandising effort targeting women still continues (men are targeted far less). Women, who are ‘gold diggers’ and those that are nearly so, don’t make it obvious when in good company (It would scare off the men and women friends of men would notify their guy friends to stay away from these women. It is also perceived as being in bad taste.). The truth only comes out after knowing someone for a while.
If you still think that there are many women such as the ‘Piggington’ women, remember your mother-in-law:
As for me, my mother-in-law (big consumer-type who really likes fancy labels and thinks love is shown in the price tags of gifts) made my husband buy a ring and made us have a traditional wedding.
that’s pretty close to home for it to be a rare occurrence.
This doesn’t mean that davelj doesn’t get misogynistic at times though..

ParticipantAnyone know the cost of replacing a windshield with a GPS receiver ? My wife’s car has a windshield chip.
Windshields don’t have GPS chips last time I checked. They may have the wire for the receiver.. but not the chip itself. What is the make and model of the vehicle? What option is the one that triggered the ‘GPS’..??
1) if you buy a cheap glass (especially the ones from china), it’s very likely a small pebble flying on the freeway will very well end up putting a crack in your new windshield, much easier than your OEM glass.
Sometimes the OEM is thinner than aftermarket. It is a weight reduction thing which started around the 1980s. If you compare a windshield from a 1985 or later vehicle to one from the 1960s or 1970s, you’ll notice a significant difference in thickness.
