ParticipantI remember Staying alive…When I was in Kindergarden….. lol….You old farts…Oh shit, I’m not that much younger…
I remember the BeeGees. I wasn’t into the Disco stuff too much though.
So does the name ‘Graeme aka Graham Nash’ ring any bells? I think it is time for my Geritol® now…

ParticipantThat would have been 1979, right? That was my first year of high school (shit!) and I remember “Tusk” and “The Wall”, along with Tom Petty’s “Damn the Torpedoes” and Michael Jackson’s “Off the Wall” (not for me, but this girl I was seeing LOVED that album). I also remember the Ramones (“It’s Alive”), AC/DC (“Highway to Hell”) and Foreigner (“Head Games”) and an up-and-coming group out of the UK called The Police.
I remember all of those too.. in 1979, I was in college – UCSD/Revelle. Graduated Highschool 1978.
First year in highschool @ 1979 would make you born in ’65.

ParticipantI frequently listen to Paul’s Boutique when I’m hammering out code…
Humm.. I tend to do better with Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb”. I also tend to do well with Depeche Mode’s Violator or Pink Floyd’s Division Bell.

Participant
Jp: You do realize that knowing who the Beastie Boys are dates us horribly, right?I just had an “oh, shit” moment when it hit me that “License to Ill” came out in 1986. Yeah, 1986.
I should go out and buy some Depends or something.
You just made me feel REALLY old now.. I remember Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk album and Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’ album(s). Then of course there is Alan Parson’s Project and Emmerson Lake and Palmer. I didn’t pay much attention to the Beastie Boys. All of these predate the Beastie Boys.
